Andrew Tate comes up with the conspiracy theory that he’s in the Matrix

Andrew Tate has broken his silence after being arrested in Romania on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organized crime group.
This morning, the misogynistic loudmouth tweeted, “The Matrix sent their agents.”
The bizarre remark came after Tate, 36, taunted 19-year-old climate activist Gret Thunberg, saying in a video yesterday: “She doesn’t realize she’s been programmed, she doesn’t realize she’s a slave to the Matrix.”
The video was posted about 10 hours after Thunberg called Tate about the “little d**k energy” to bait her with a tweet about his gas-guzzling car collection.
However, last night a handcuffed Tate was filmed being led out of his luxury mansion in Bucharest by police after a raid.
His younger brother Tristan, 34, was also arrested along with two other Romanian nationals.
Both are investigated by the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT).
As he was led away by officers, Tate shouted to cameras at the scene, “The Matrix attacked me.”
Prosecutors said the Tate brothers, along with two others, “appear to have formed an organized crime group for the purpose of recruiting, harboring and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content.”
“They would have won important sums of money.”
The concept of a simulated world from the sci-fi film The Matrix has been adopted by many far-right conspiracy and men’s rights groups.
Some members feel that their hateful views show that they took the “red pill” – which revealed the truth of the artificial world to the film’s protagonist.
Tate has long referred to those in power in politics, the press, and big tech as “in the Matrix.”
“The Matrix offered me money to sell my soul and help the devil,” he tweeted Dec. 14.
“I refused,” Tate said, adding, “Soon they’ll try to kill me.”
