An apology to Anthony Bell OAM

An article by Andrew Hornery in last weekend’s issue The Sun Messenger“Michael Clarke, Anthony Bell and Sydney’s Most Fascinating Boys’ Club” made allegations about Anthony Bell and the Loyal Foundation Charity that weren’t true.

The Sun Messenger recognizes the outstanding and respected contribution that Mr Bell’s charity, the Loyal Foundation, has made to the purchase of life-saving medical equipment for children in over 100 hospitals across Australia for over a decade. The Sun Messenger Deplores any suggestion that Mr Bell is the founder of a “boys club” and does not have appropriate family values. The Sun Messenger also acknowledges that Mr Bell was a bystander of the incident in Noosa referred to in the article and that he was in no way involved in the dispute.

The Sun Messenger apologizes unreservedly to Mr Bell for the pain and suffering this article has caused him, his family and friends.
