AmazonPrime’s former boss has been moved into a role overseeing the company’s healthcare efforts.

Neil Lindsay was named senior vice president of health and brand for Amazon’s worldwide consumer business last month, according to him. LinkedIn Profile and those familiar with the move.

According to a person familiar with the matter, Lindsay’s responsibilities now include overseeing Amazon’s integrated healthcare efforts, which include online pharmacies, telehealth, and health diagnostics units. . Lindsay has held multiple roles across multiple departments during her 11+ years at Amazon, including running the company’s core Prime subscription business and managing worldwide marketing. He also helped shape popular Amazon devices like the Kindle e-reader, along with Fire and Echo products.

Lindsay is on the “S-team,” an influential group of executives as reported by Amazon CEO Andy Jassy.

But analysts expect healthcare to be a valuable business area for the company over time. Loop Capital analysts estimates Amazon could increase sales to $72 billion through a further expansion in healthcare.
