An Amazon employee went viral on TikTok after posting a public announcement for customers who order every day.
TikTok user @aniyamitch started the 19-second video by addressing Amazon customers who order “every day, every other day, or almost every fucking week.” She said she’s “pretty sure” customers who order so frequently end up with the same driver every time, leading her to ask, “You all see each other freaking almost every day and you don’t leave snacks?”
According to TikToker, Amazon customers who order frequently have a “bond” with their driver. She jokingly concluded that customers who don’t leave snacks for their regular driver are “wrong”.
In an email interview with the Daily Dot, @aniyamitch revealed she has been working for the corporate giant for six months. In the six months that she has been working there, she has “met customers who have ordered several times a week”. The TikToker reported that her regulars and other customers are actually leaving out snacks for her.
The video has been viewed over 261,000 times since it was posted on March 6th. In the comments, viewers said the video inspired them to leave snacks outside for their delivery drivers.
“I had to see this video, I’m setting up my snack station today,” wrote one viewer.
“I WILL INSTANTLY what the best snacks are for you guys,” echoed a second.
“When I move I get a list of things my driver likes because I remember!” a third explained.
However, some viewers shared reasons why they might or might not skip snacks for their drivers.
“Nah… because when you guys are having a bad day I take it personally and throw my package away,” commented one user.
“I live in apartments I’m so sure my neighbors would take it before my package arrived,” wrote a second.
“I’m sorry sister for picking up my packages from an Amazon locker as they can’t seem to deliver to the correct address!” remarked a third.
Others even criticized @aniyamitch for asking Amazon customers to do this for their drivers.
“You’re wrong!! You get paid for it, go to the store and buy your own snacks,” criticized one person.
“Lol no my job doesn’t give a snack… bring your own!” a second agreed.
“I don’t have to pack snacks for anyone. BRING MY PACKAGE THANKS,” wrote a third.
