Amazon driver encounters 2 large dogs in front yard

A former Amazon driver went viral on TikTok after encountering two large dogs in a customer’s front yard and then refusing to drop off the package. This is a common problem pointed out by delivery drivers on social media.
The video was uploaded by TikTok user @3drippy this week. Upon arrival, he tripped over two large dogs in the front yard. “Amazon, you’re not fucking paying me enough for this shit,” he said. “Two fat dogs. I can’t even get out of the damn car.” Because of the big dogs, the content creator decided not to deliver the package. “Shit man, fuck you. You don’t get your package. Try again tomorrow.” According to the text overlay, “The real reason I left Amazon. Brother, this was a commonplace thing I’ve done at Amazon over 2,000 times.”
During an interview with the Daily Dot, @3drippy confirmed that he hadn’t delivered the package after the video was shot.
“Owners didn’t come to pick up the dogs, so I had no choice but to return the packages to Amazon’s warehouse,” he wrote via TikTok direct message. “I called customer and Amazon support and they told me to take the packages back to the warehouse.”
He also shared how he worked as a delivery driver at Amazon for more than a year. Within that time, he would encounter these types of incidents almost every day, he said.
Some of these customers left “their gates open” and their dogs outside. Most of the time the dogs were friendly, but there was always a chance of encountering an aggressive one. There was one incident where he “fell and twisted his ankle.”

The video has been viewed over 916,000 times as of Saturday, with viewers joking about the dogs in the comments.
“They said get out of the car we won’t jump on you,” wrote one viewer.
“They said come out if we chase you we’ll speed up your package delivery so you can get out of here!” a second joked.
“Dogs: ‘Aye man give me my Chewy order,'” quipped a third.
Some agreed that customers leaving their dogs outside is their pet pet peeve.
“As an Amazon delivery driver, this is one of my favorite annoyances at work. If they know they’re getting a package, why are the dogs outside? Gmfu,” commented one user.
“Absolutely! The thing that’s so frustrating is knowing you’re getting a delivery, line up your damn dogs! Damn!” a second agreed.
“Smh I’m not afraid of dogs but I find it ridiculous that people let their dogs loose knowing they’re getting a package delivered,” agreed a third.
Other delivery drivers shared their stories of encountering large dogs.
“I was working for FedEx and there was a lady who had 13 dogs… I wasn’t delivering shit,” one person shared.
“On my first delivery for O’Reilly Auto, I had a Rottweiler run to myself. The chain stopped it but the people I worked with knew,” wrote a second.
“Lorddd the thing I had to do with working for the post office I said oh no next house,” said a third.
