As part of the investigation, search warrants were issued at two properties in Greystanes and Haymarket on Thursday.
Police say they seized steroids, several cellphones and what they suspected was a dedicated criminal communications device during the searches.
An associate of Meehan’s was also arrested as part of the investigation. The 33-year-old man was served with an order for access to digital evidence, which he allegedly failed to comply with. He was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station.
The Greystanes man was charged with two counts of failing to comply with an order to access digital evidence, two counts of handling criminal proceeds of property of less than $100,000 and one each of intent to pervert the course of justice and possession of a drug ban .
