The Amazon range of smart speakers are powerful DIY tools – the Amazon Echo can answer questions, control lights, play music and much more.

Alexa, Echo’s AI “ghost,” can ping users with a notification when items in their cart or wish list go on sale.

To get small notifications for big time-savers, open the Alexa app and tap the three lines in the bottom-right corner – this section is labeled “More”.

Navigate to Settings and then tap Notifications.

On the next page, click Amazon Shopping and scroll to the Recommended Shopping section.

The small section of text should read “Get personalized recommendations based on your shopping activity.”

Switch to the Deal recommendations tab.

Going forward, Alexa will notify you of an upcoming sale of a product you’ve shown interest in.

Amazon Prime Day is a great opportunity to get great products at an even better price.

But with Alexa shopping notifications enabled, deals won’t end after Prime Day on July 13.
