Adele is planning to direct a documentary covering her career, including postponing her stay in Las Vegas, it has been reported.

The singer recently returned to the stage for the first time in five years to headline the BST Hyde Park Festival and wowed fans with her incredible performances.

Ahead of her two nights before the event, she appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs and addressed the backlash she received for the cancellation at the time, saying: “It was terrible and the reaction was brutal. I was a shell of a person for a few months.’

It is now claimed that the reaction to the delay in her Las Vegas performances is part of the reason she wants to make an “intimate” documentary about her life.

A source reportedly told The Sun: “Adele feels she has let fans down a bit with how the last 12 months have unfolded, particularly the last minute postponement of her Las Vegas residency and sees this as an opportunity to compensate for this.

“One thing is for sure, it will be a must-watch on TV. Although everyone knows her name, Adele is still quite a mystery as a person.”

The source also stressed how different Adele’s life is now that she released her first album, explaining: “Her life now compared to when she released her debut album is unrecognizable.”

Speaking further about the excitement surrounding her Las Vegas residency on Desert Island Discs, the multiple Grammy Award winner recalled how “afraid” she was of letting her fans down if they didn’t make the concerts “work.” .

“I stand by this decision. I don’t think any other artist would have done what I did, and I think that’s why it was such a powerful, powerful story,” she said.

“It was like ‘I don’t care’ and stuff like that. you can’t buy me You can’t buy me for free. I’m not going to do a show just because I have to, or because people will be let down, or because we’re going to lose a lot of money. I’m like, “The show isn’t good enough,” she added.

When Adele announced the residency had been postponed, she shared a tearful video on social media, saying everyone “tried absolutely everything to get it together in time and be good enough”.
