Actor Pablo Lyle is convicted of fatal beatings in Miami

MIAMI – Telenovela star Pablo Lyle is scheduled to be sentenced in Miami on Friday afternoon following his sentencing convicted of manslaughter for a fatal traffic accident.

Lyle, who is from Mexico, was arrested in 2019 after punching 63-year-old Juan Ricardo Hernandez near the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue and 14th Street.

Police said Lyle’s brother-in-law, Lucas Del Fino, was driving to the airport when he clipped another vehicle Hernandez was driving.

Hernandez got out of his car and banged his fist on the window of the car Lyle was in, authorities said.

“We were very close. We both yelled at each other.” said Del Fino during a hearing in 2019. “I yelled at him, ‘Don’t touch my car! Don’t hit my car!’ I said that in Spanish.”

At that moment, surveillance video shows Lyle getting out of the passenger seat and punching Hernandez once, knocking him unconscious.

Hernandez was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

Lyle’s defense team has claimed that he acted in self-defense. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
