A Zimbabwean man sees snow for the first time since dating his wife in the UK

This is the healing moment a Zimbabwean man sees snow for the first time after moving to the UK.
Footage shows Noel Bako, 27, becoming dizzy and emotional as he prances across a thin layer of snow in Malvern, Worcestershire.
Noel moved to England in June to be with his wife Jaima, 29, whom he met at a game reserve in Gweru, Zimbabwe, in 2019.
“When I first saw the snow, I felt like a baby. I honestly wanted to cry because I was so emotional,” Noel said.
“I had seen snow on TV but actually thought it might be fake. I felt like I was on TV watching this. I can’t wait for it to actually snow heavily.’
Noel was working as a procurement officer in Gweru when he met Jaima, who volunteered.
He said: “One day I was enjoying my work and I could see her watching. She came up to me and took the first step.’
Jaima flew back to the UK after completing her volunteering but returned to Zimbabwe in January 2021.
She added, “We just sort of fell in love instantly. It’s hard to say, but I knew from the start that I was attracted to him.”
The couple married in March 2021 and applied for a spousal visa, which was accepted in June.
Noel is now working as a cook while Jaima is a caregiver.
Jaima said: “It sounds really gross, but since he came here he has done a lot of things for the first time, like bonfire night and Christmas.
“I feel like a mother showing her child the world.”
