A WOMAN has sparked debate after making a very bold claim about whether or not someone appears rich or poor – but not everyone agrees.
TikTok user @lilhunnydip said it all comes down to your sofa and where it’s placed.
She explained, “If the back of their couch touches the wall, they’re not rich.
“Rich people, their couches are just out there in the open.
“Your sofas don’t touch a wall. If your couch touches a wall, you’re at least middle class.”
She added, “If your couch touches an end table and that end table touches the wall, that still counts as your couch touching the wall.”
“I laugh at anyone who takes offense as if being called middle class is an insult.”
Many people reacted quickly to the video and it garnered over 200,000 likes.
Many TikTok users agreed with her statement, with one person saying, “Realtors here can confirm that.”
Another added: “Great analysis.”
A third wrote: “My brain is exploding it’s so true.”
However, many people quickly disagreed.
One said: “My neighbor has a pool with a tennis court and his couch is still touching the wall.”
And a second person backed her up, saying, “Mine doesn’t touch the wall because it would mold like the walls tbf.”
