A parent says students are tied to school uniforms after gifting them XL shirts

A mom on TikTok says her daughter had a dress code and got an extra large shirt. Then she was redressed because a school administrator couldn’t see her shorts.

The mother, who is known on the platform as Stasia (@teachingadhdllamas), shared a series of videos explaining how her daughter fought against her school’s dress code.

In the first video, Stasia says an administrator at her daughter’s school called her while she was teaching at another school. The administrator said Stasia’s daughter told them “fuck your dress code” and left, according to TikToker.

The creator clearly endorsed her daughter’s rebellion against the dress code as she danced in the video titled “Fuck your dress codes.”

The video’s on-screen caption reads, “Shoulders, diaphragm and legs are not the problem. Talk to the guys/men who say it’s a distraction.”

The video received a ton of praise from other users who appeared to be moms. Several commented that many schools’ dress codes had become too strict. Some praised the daughter for standing up for herself.

In response to a comment that read, “Would have asked for an autograph right away because this girl is on the road,” Stasia shared another update.

The TikToker says her daughter organized a protest among students, and they planned to wear white tank tops with messages on them to school. Her daughter’s t-shirt read, “Are my shoulders letting you get distracted by reading the front of my t-shirt?”

In the video, Stasia says she is sure she will receive multiple calls from the administration of her daughter’s school.

“But they knew it was coming,” says Stasia. “My children opposed racist teachers. My children stood up when other children were pronounced dead by ignorant teachers. My daughter refused to take sex education classes as a non-heterosexual student.”

In another TikTok video, Stasia adds that boys also wore crop tops to her daughter’s school. However, none of them were sent home.

Meanwhile, her daughter was reportedly given a dress code and sent to the principal’s office within the first 10 minutes of arriving at school, Stasia says. A boy followed her into the office and asked why he didn’t have a dress code for his crop top. The creator says that the boy was sent back to class, where he cut his shirt shorter and shorter until the administration’s dress code dictated him.

Stasia also notes that the school gave extra large shirts to girls who wore crop tops to fix their dress code violations. However, the TikToker claims admins then dressed her again because the extra large shirts covered her shorts.

“I’m just proud as hell watching from the sidelines and waiting,” Stasia says in the video. “She has that.”

Viewers could not believe the hypocrisy of the middle school students for the dress code for the shirts they gave them.

“So the main dress coded the girls for the outfits HE put them in? Words fail me,” commented one viewer.

“Not they sexualize minors when shorts aren’t visible due to their own oversized t-shirt punishment,” commented another viewer.

Other viewers said they had problems with school uniforms in general.

“The dress code and I are NOT friends. They say it “distracts” male students. Sounds like a male student problem,” said one user.

“Educators need to care about education, not dress code,” wrote a second user.

Some users applauded the boy, who also went to the principal’s office to protest the dress code, saying that boys might get better at lobbying for girls.

“I love that the guys are supporting them and showing up. I’m trying so hard to teach my boys how to be like that,” read one comment.

Another commented, “It feels like guys are starting to figure out that side with girls is cooler and I love it.”
