A man wins $1 million playing the Florida Lottery scratch card game

SANFORD, Fla. – A man is $1 million richer after playing the $5 scratch card game Monopoly Doubler, the Florida Lottery announced Monday.

According to lottery officials Tyrone Bouie of Sanford accepted his prize at the lottery’s Orlando District Office.

He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $798,985.

Lottery officials said Bouie bought his winning ticket at a Conrad Mobil gas station in New Smyrna Beach.

The company receives a bonus commission of $2,000 for the sale of the winning ticket.

“The 5 dollars MONOPOLY DOUBLE The scratch game launched on July 4, 2022 and will feature more than $132 million in cash prizes, including 12 $1 million in grand prizes!” the Florida Lottery said in a press release. “The overall odds of winning the game are 1 in 3.98.”
