A flooring company employee dies at a construction site in West Palm Beach in the fall

An employee at a South Florida flooring company died Saturday morning after falling from the 13th floor of a high-rise apartment building under construction in West Palm Beach.

The victim was identified as 23-year-old Dolores Yamileth Martinez-Ponce.

The West Palm Beach Police Department believes Martinez-Ponce laid flooring on the 13th floor before falling onto a second-floor landing in the complex.

Martinez-Ponce died at the scene.
