A 55-year-old woman dies in an accident in Wetherill Park, south-west Sydney

A woman supervising a learner driver died after a collision between the car and a truck in south-west Sydney on Wednesday.
At around 6.30am, emergency services were called to Cowpasture Road North in Wetherill Park following reports of a car and truck crash.
Officers were told a 55-year-old woman was standing in front of a sedan after a minor collision between a tractor unit and a towed trailer.
The heavy vehicle is said to have driven forward and hit the woman.
The 55-year-old was treated by paramedics from the NSW Ambulance, but died at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the limousine, a 17-year-old boy who is a student driver, was unharmed but was treated for shock at the scene. The woman was his supervising driver.
The driver of the lorry, a 51-year-old man, was unharmed and was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory tests.

A crime scene has been identified and is being investigated by Crash Investigation Unit professionals.
A report will be prepared for the coroner’s information.
