$800,000 semi-truck stolen from store

MIAMI – Around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, a semi-trailer truck valued at $800,000 was stolen from a store.

Surveillance video shows several people pulling up in a white large truck at TruckMax Inc. at 6000 Northwest 77th Court.

They got through the fence and attached a chain to the metal gate, video shows a white large drill pulling the gate down.

Even though the keys weren’t in the truck, somehow one of the thieves had a way of starting this $800,000 truck.

The stolen truck is used in towing situations to lift larger vehicles like a bus.

The owner says that since so few of these types of trucks are made, usually if you have a key to one you can start one.

The truck was recently at auction and has actually been sold pending final transaction details. The owner suspects that someone may have seen it at auction and found out where it was stored.

The investigations are still ongoing.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
