On 61st Street Season 1 Episode 8 FinaleDavid wakes the family screaming a man burning in front of her house. It’s a picture of Moses hanging around here a flaming noose outside Franklin’s house.
Officer Young is on the stand and says Josh is Selling drugs to pay Franklin to defend Moses.
Josh and TJ comment
Josh takes the stand and admits he is a member of the Nation gang, Selling drugs to pay for Moses’ defense. Franklin asks Josh what happened when Young and Frater removed him from the police station. says Josch they threw him into the river to get him to name Moses. Josh loses control and has a PTSD Flashback in the courtroom.
Franklin tells Moses about the effigy found outside his house. He tells Moses Moses must take a stand. Brannigan goes to TJ. TJ will take the stand for Brannigan and gain immunity and protection.
TJ takes the stand and says he delivered a pack of heroin to the prison yard and saw Moses collects the drugs for the nation.
Corrupt Deputy Chief of Police
Brannigan takes Johnny to a meeting Deputy Chief of Police Rick. Franklin collapses in the courtroom and wakes up in the hospital. Nicole and Martha visit him at the Nicole says the judge offered Moses a new trial with new attorneys. Moses has to decide by morning. Martha leaves and tells Nicole to get Franklin back on his feet.
Deputy Chief Rick, Thanks Johnny for lying on the stand and says he is the one who ordered the weapon to be changed. Johnny is overwhelmed, he doesn’t understand.
Franklin needs surgery, though refuses to have it now. Norma, Martha and Janet go to the Nation members and say: they want to talk to Dante!
Johnny was wearing a wire when meeting Rick! Martha goes to the hospital and finds Frankline is gone.
Franklin apologizes to Moses for not telling him he dies. Franklin looks at the videos that were dropped off at his home and sees Johnny finds the wire on Michael’s body!
Franklin goes straight to Johnny’s apartment and confronts Johnny with lies, the wire and Brannigan be corrupt. Franklin tells Johnny to take a stand and tell the truth like Michael would have done.
Martha talks to Dante
Martha gets in Dante’s car. Dante tells Martha that She could win the election and Martha asks Dante to save Janet’s life. Peter photographed from Martha’s meeting with Dante.
As Franklin walks into the courthouse, he watches Johnny drives away. Moses tells the judge he’s keeping Franklin as his attorney. Moses takes a stand. The judge ends the trial when Moses admits he knew Michael was a police officer and says he did an admission of Moses’ guilt.
Martha rushes in and tells Franklin to do it Designate Rufus (Tutu) as Michael’s informant and to play, the wire fell off at her front door.
Franklin calls Brannigan back to the stand that swears he didn’t know Rufus (tutus). Franklin plays the wire. Franklin calls Brannigan an executioner!
Norma takes the stand and says Brannigan told her that Rufus (Tutu) was a snitch because Brannigan wanted Janet to shut up. Norma calls Brannigan a shameless liar.
Franklin tells the jury the system isn’t broken. It works the way it was designed. He says that when the law needs to be changed, it’s always about race “the people” who are the “true law.”.
Vote and Judgment
It’s voting day! Dante shows up and offers his condolences to Janet and tells Martha he did it scratched his back twice now.
The verdict has come. Moses is found not guilty! The courtroom erupted in applause. The prosecution shakes hands with Franklin and even Jessica is happy. The streets celebrate knowing it Moses will walk free again!
The votes are in. Marta won! Franklin isn’t here to celebrate. Phil goes home his real family, which Norma has no idea about. Johnny goes to Jessica’s house, who is angry with him not doing the right thing. Jessica says she told Brannigan she is the one who gave Franklin the Wire. Moses trains again with Angelo, runs free again.
