3-year-old found safe after car theft in Providence – Boston News, Weather, Sports

PROVIDENCE, RI (WHDH) — A 3-year-old child was kidnapped by a car thief in Providence.

Police said a woman called 911 last night when her car with the child in it was stolen from a McDonald’s parking lot.

The car and child were found outside the Omni Hotel a short time later.

The suspect tried to escape on a public bus, but officers followed and arrested him, police said.
