3 stabbed, several injured in nightclub brawls in Salt Lake City

At least three people were stabbed and five others injured when two fights broke out inside and outside of nightclubs in Salt Lake City early Sunday, police said.

Officers first arrived at the area of ​​146 W. Pierpont Avenue at 12:46 am to find a man and woman bleeding from stab wounds. According to the police, there was a fight between several people in the Echo club, resulting in “multiple injuries”.

An officer used a tourniquet to slow the bleeding of one of the injured, including:

• A 27-year-old woman who was hospitalized with survivable injuries.

• A 22-year-old man who left the scene then went to a hospital for treatment. He was initially in critical condition, but his condition has since improved.

• Another 22-year-old man who was stabbed in the chest. He was initially hospitalized in critical condition; According to police, his condition has since improved.

• A 29-year-old man who was treated at the scene and released.
