Vaccine doses administered in the past week/total doses administered • 31,321 / 5,434,869.
Number of fully vaccinated Utahans • 2,056,096 – 63.3% of the total Utah population. Another 992,032 Utahns have received at least one booster shot — 30.5% of the population.
Cases reported in the past week • 1,919.
Average cases per day reported in the past week • 274
Deaths reported in the past week • 10
Officials reported four deaths in Salt Lake County, including three men ages 65 to 84 and one woman age 85 or older.
One woman, ages 25 to 44, and two men, ages 45 to 64 and 65 to 84, reportedly died in Utah County.
Weber County reported the deaths of a man, ages 25 to 44, and a woman, ages 65 to 84.
A Cache County man, ages 65 to 84, also reportedly died.
Hospital admissions reported this week • As of Thursday, 133 Utahns have been hospitalized with COVID-19, up 15 from the previous week. There were 16 patients in intensive care on Thursday, one fewer than last Thursday.
Percentage of positive tests • Taking into account all test results, including repeat tests by the same person, 12.51% of tests performed were positive, compared to 12.61% at this point in the last week.
If repeated tests on the same person are not counted, 16.05% of tests performed returned positive results, up from 16.29% the previous week.
Totals to date • 1,036,535 cases; 5,011 deaths; 38,461 hospitalizations.
