3 armed robbers were caught on camera stealing cash from pawn shop in Lauderdale Lakes

LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL. – Detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office are searching for three suspects in the armed robbery after they were caught on camera stealing cash and jewelry from a Lauderdale Lakes pawn shop last Friday.

According to detectives, a man wearing a blue, white, and black jacket and black pants entered Cash America Pawn at 2880 N. State Road 7 shortly before 4:45 p.m. on March 10 and pretended to be interested in buying jewelry.

Moments later, deputies said two other men entered the store as the first suspect drew a pistol.

BSO released surveillance video showing the man pointing the gun at store employees.

Authorities said the three men went behind the counter and forced the staff to open the register.

The video shows one of the men smashing a display case and stealing the items inside.

After the robbery, the three suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry in a blue four-door KIA with Florida registration QFPL03, according to BSO spokeswoman Claudinne Caro.

The second suspect wore a gray hoodie with light blue jeans and the third suspect wore a green Adidas jacket with black pants.

All three robbers wore masks.

Caro said the FBI will investigate the incident along with BSO investigators.

Anyone with information is urged to contact BSO Robbery Detective Mark Copley at 954-321-4738 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.

Broward Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
