14-year-old stabbing suspect arrested in West Valley City

(West Valley City Police Department) Police arrested a 14-year-old after a man was stabbed to death in a park in West Valley City.
A man is dead and a 14-year-old is in custody after a knife attack Thursday at a park in West Valley City.
At 5:45 a.m., police received a report of a man at Scottsdale Park, 3755 S. 3100 South, who was unconscious and appeared to have multiple wounds. When officers arrived, they found the 24-year-old man dead. His name was not published.
On Thursday night, West Valley City police announced they had arrested a 14-year-old who is believed to have argued with the victim before stabbing him. According to police, the victim was with “several other people” in the park when the argument “resulted in an altercation” that led to the stabbing.
The teenager was taken into custody.
