“I think this is going to be a tough one and then it will be,” Flint said.
That gag has turned into 42 issues and connected a community at a time when so many people feel more alone than before.
“A lot of people really enjoyed getting The Weekly Case. And it’s been fun to see him grow throughout the year and the way he comes up with ideas, the way he interacts with people in our community,” said Wox Flint, Xion’s mother.
“I’ve grown as a person, I feel like I’ve finished it at the right time. I want to be on top. I feel like that’s what happened,” Xion said.
In the end, Xion had over 200 subscribers, including digital copies and door-to-door delivery.
“After 42 huge issues in the case, the case was closed. But let’s not say it’s over. Because there are some good memories that have come from this. And good memories are always in our hearts,” Xion said.
Looking at the emails from readers, it’s clear he’s made a huge impact in this neighborhood.
“It is absolutely wonderful. I’m happy to know that I’ve really made a difference in my neighborhood,” said Xion.
For Xion’s ultimate advice column, he left this to his subscribers.
“This time, no one asked. I just answer. If you want to create a project like this, you can do that. it can be difficult and stressful and you might want to work it out and that’s okay. But if you get through it, it’ll work, just hold on for an extra second.”
