1 killed in car crash in West Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida. – One person has died following a single-vehicle accident that occurred Monday morning in West Miami-Dade.

The crash occurred in the Southwest 56th Street area near 132nd Avenue in Kendale Lakes.

A crew from Local 10 News was there when the car hit a palm tree.

One person was killed in the crash, but authorities have not yet confirmed if speed was a factor or possibly something else.

The coroner was called to the scene of the accident along with a tow truck to get the vehicle off the road.

56th Street currently remains closed to traffic.

Further details were not immediately released.
